Faculty Feature on DVS professor Dr. Evonne Levy in the Medium

The Medium – UTM’s independent student newspaper – recently published a feature on DVS Art History faculty member Dr. Evonne Levy. The feature describes Dr. Levy’s career trajectory, which took her from an early exchange to Italy in high school, to a PhD at Princeton University. Since this time, Dr. Levy has worked on a wide range of projects. The feature details the transformation of her research interests and project beginning with work in the archives of Roman Baroque chapels, to a study of the influence of Baroque art on modern propaganda, to a study on the Hispanic Baroque. More recently, Dr. Levy has turned her attention to the work of Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The feature emphasizes Dr. Levy’s approach to encountering new and unfamiliar material.
