Turning Research into Action: An Interdisciplinary Workshop on Child and Youth Mental Health
The Centre for Child Development, Mental Health, and Policy invites U of T graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to join us for an interactive workshop designed to support knowledge translation of research in child and youth mental health.

- Audience: Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from across disciplines at UofT

About the Workshop
This 2-hour workshop will:
- Build skills in knowledge translation and science communication
- Foster interdisciplinary dialogue across research areas
- Support professional development through focused skill-building activities
What to Expect
- Background and resources on knowledge translation and science communication in the area of child and youth mental health
- Mini skill-building sessions using different knowledge translation tools (e.g., arts-based methods, improv, infographics, policy briefs)
- Time for networking, discussion, and light refreshments
To make the most of the workshop, we encourage you to bring (or have in mind), one piece of research you’d like to translate. This could be a project, publication, empirical study, review article, methodology, or any other work you’d like to share and adapt for broader impact to a certain target audience. The work can be at any stage (idea, work-in-progress, previously presented work, etc.).
