Exhibitor Policies & Guiding Principles - Get Hired Fair

Eligibility

  • For profit, government, not for profit, and startup organizations from all industries and sectors are eligible to participate. Limited spots are available for each type of organization.
  • Priority placement is given to organizations engaged in direct hiring of students and recent graduates. Pending space availability, we may give consideration to third-party recruiters, under the condition that they disclose the organization name they are recruiting for and post the opportunities on the Career & Co-Curricular Learning Network (CLNx) at clnx.utoronto.ca.
  • Organizations must be actively recruiting for internships, full-time jobs, part-time jobs, summer jobs, tech co-op placements, or volunteer opportunities at the time of the event.
  • We balance the variety of exhibitors based on student needs and feedback. Due to limited space availability, completion of the application form does not automatically guarantee participation in the event. All applications go through an approval process where eligibility, diversity by industry and sector, location, student feedback, and capacity are considered. We reserve the right to decline any application based on the above considerations.
  • There is a fee associated with attending Get Hired Fair.

The policies and guidelines contained within this page are intended by the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) Career Centre to give notice regarding the governing rules and regulations that are associated with our Get Hired Fair to any organizations who wish to take part in this event. Get Hired Fair is meant to serve the interests of our students and recent graduates, and therefore our team must ensure that all exhibitors understand the underlying principles for participation.

Registration Process

There is a two-step registration process.

  • Step one: Each organization must request participation by completing the Get Hired Fair online application form.
  • Step two: After their applications are approved, organizations will receive a link to complete their registration and submit payment by credit card.

Both steps must be met in order to secure a spot at the fair. Given the high popularity of our events and space limitations, we cannot offer an “open” registration system or registration on first come, first served basis.
