The guidelines and procedures in this webpage from the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Career Centre outline the rules and regulations governing participation in the Graduate and Professional Schools Fair. The events our offices plan throughout the year serve the career development and exploration interests of our students and recent alumni; therefore, we must ensure that all participating exhibitors understand the underlying principles of participation.
Please note that in all cases, we reserve the right to balance the variety of exhibitors based on student needs and feedback. Factors taken into consideration may include the diversity of exhibitors and their geographic locations for a given fair.
The following guidelines will apply to exhibitors who wish to register.
Student Learning Objectives
By attending the Graduate & Professional Schools Fair, students will be able to:
- Explore how graduate and professional education can support their long-term career goals and professional development.
- Evaluate multiple educational pathways and make informed decisions about further education opportunities.
- Build confidence in researching programs, understanding admissions processes, and identifying application requirements.
- Expand their professional network through meaningful interactions with institutional representatives and admissions professionals.
- Identify next steps and resources to support their graduate or professional school exploration and application journey.
Exhibitor Eligibility
The Graduate & Professional Schools Fair is intended to connect University of Toronto students and recent graduates with accredited educational institutions and organizations that offer graduate, professional, postgraduate, continuing education, and advanced training opportunities.
The UTM Career Centre seeks to provide students with access to a diverse range of educational pathways and learning opportunities. To support this objective, exhibitor selection is guided by student interests, educational value, program diversity, geographic representation, and institutional credibility.
Participation is open to recognized colleges, universities, professional schools, educational institutions, and approved organizations that provide information about further education and training opportunities. Third-party recruitment agencies representing one or more educational institutions may be considered for participation, but must clearly disclose the institutions they represent during the registration process.
Due to limited space, submission of an application does not guarantee participation. All applications undergo a review process, and the UTM Career Centre reserves the right to approve or decline participation based on event objectives, student needs, exhibitor mix, previous participant feedback, available capacity, and alignment with the University of Toronto policies and values.

A registration fee applies to participation in the Graduate & Professional Schools Fair.
Registration Process
The Graduate & Professional Schools Fair uses a two-step registration process:
- Step 1: Interested organizations must submit an application through the online Graduate & Professional Schools Fair Application Form.
- Step 2: Approved organizations will receive a registration link to confirm participation and submit payment.
Participation is not confirmed until both steps have been completed.
Due to high demand and limited exhibitor capacity, applications are reviewed before registration is offered. The fair does not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, exhibitor selection is guided by the event's learning objectives and our commitment to providing students with a diverse range of educational pathways, institutions, program types, and geographic locations.
The UTM Career Centre reserves the right to limit participation and make final decisions regarding exhibitor selection in order to ensure a balanced and meaningful experience for students and recent graduates.
Registration Fees
The registration fee for the Graduate & Professional Schools Fair is $500 CAD plus HST per exhibitor.
University of Toronto faculties, divisions, and affiliated schools are eligible for a discounted registration rate. Contact erm.utm@utoronto.ca for more details.
Full payment by credit card is required at the time of registration to confirm participation. Registration fees are non-transferable.
What Is Included in the Registration Fee?
Each exhibitor registration includes:
- One (1) exhibitor booth at the Graduate & Professional Schools Fair
- Attendance for up to two (2) representatives
- One (1) table and two (2) chairs
- Two (2) lite breakfast and lunch vouchers per representative
- Two (2) electronic parking day-passes (for non-U of T exhibitors)
- Inclusion in the event exhibitor directory and promotional materials, where applicable
- Access to University of Toronto Mississauga students and recent graduates interested in exploring graduate, professional, continuing education, and post-graduate study opportunities
Additional exhibitor representatives CANNOT be accommodated, due to space availability and event capacity.
Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own promotional materials, displays, and equipment beyond those outlined above.
General Rules and Regulations
To ensure a positive and productive experience for all participants, exhibitors are expected to comply with the following guidelines:
- The UTM Career Centre is committed to fostering an environment that values equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and respect. Exhibitors are expected to engage with students and fellow participants in a professional manner that is free from discrimination, harassment, and exclusionary practices, and that aligns with applicable human rights legislation and University policies.
- Registration includes attendance for up to two (2) representatives per exhibitor.
- Exhibitor spaces are assigned by the UTM Career Centre and may not be moved or exchanged without prior approval.
- Exhibitors are expected to provide information that is accurate, current, and relevant to the educational programs, admissions processes, and opportunities they represent.
- The fair is intended to support student exploration and informed decision-making regarding further education. Exhibitors may distribute informational materials and engage in educational discussions with attendees. Direct sales activities are not permitted.
- Display materials must be arranged within the assigned booth space and should not obstruct neighboring exhibitors, walkways, exits, or sightlines. Recommended banner size: Width: 5 feet x Height: 7 feet
- For safety reasons, all displays, banners, and promotional materials must comply with venue regulations. Large displays should be freestanding and securely positioned within the exhibitor's assigned space.
- Exhibitors are responsible for the security of their personal belongings, equipment, and display materials. The University of Toronto Mississauga is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- Wireless internet access may be available; however, connectivity cannot be guaranteed. Exhibitors should come prepared to operate without internet access if necessary.
- The UTM Career Centre reserves the right to remove or restrict any display, material, activity, or representative that is deemed disruptive, inappropriate, misleading, inconsistent with the purpose of the event, or contrary to University policies.
- The UTM Career Centre reserves the right to photograph and/or video record the event for promotional purposes. All organizations and individuals participating in the Fair are subject to our Photo & Video Release Policy.
- Participation in the fair constitutes agreement with all event policies, procedures, and venue requirements communicated by the UTM Career Centre.

Cancellation Policy
If circumstances change and your organization is no longer able to attend the fair, a written (email) cancellation notification and refund request must be sent to our Industry Engagement Specialist at erm.utm@utoronto.ca at least 15 business days before the event. Please note that refunds, credits, and transfers will not be issued after this date.
Organizer Cancellation Policy
We reserve the right in our sole discretion to deny registration to any organization or individual at any time, including after registration with full payment.
Force Majeure
After the cancellation cutoff date, payments made are not refundable for any reason, including, but not limited to, failure to attend the fair due to illness or due to any event beyond the reasonable control of the parties, such as an act of God, natural disaster, travel-related problems or an act of terrorism.
Statement on Acknowledgement of Traditional Land
We wish to acknowledge this land on which the University of Toronto operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
