On Oct. 22, 2014, Essex MPP Taras Natyshak sponsored a press conference which highlighted hear how agencies around the provinces are combatting this issue and how you can be instrumental in delivering our message on promoting the hiring of persons with disabilities. Natyshak was joined by an esteem panel who are passionately decided to giving people with disabilities an employment edge. Kevin McShan speaks about his own experience with cerebral palsy and his employment journey. On a broader level, McShan and panelists talk about the importance for employers to recognize the benefits to hiring a person with a disability. AMI-tv broadcasts a selection of general entertainment programming with accommodations for those who are visually or hearing impaired, consisting of described video on the primary audio track and closed captioning available across all of its programming. The channel also broadcasts original series on accessibility- and disability-related topics (including, since 2012, the Paralympic Games, an offshoot of the Olympic movement for athletes with a disability).
