“I review and audit the various controls in place surrounding financial reporting throughout the many divisions of Loblaws,” says Nadia, who worked for Deloitte & Touche LLP for 3 years upon graduation.
While at UTM, Nadia was a member of the Commerce Association. She attended the group’s events throughout her university career, which is where she met individuals from Deloitte & Touche. She also applied to the large CA firms during their fall recruitment. She has since gone on to earn her Chartered Accountant designation. She says her key to success was setting a main goal and then smaller goals leading to it.
“I believe time management, dedication and the drive to learn and adapt to new concepts are key characteristics needed to be successful in this new world of audit and financial reporting where standards are changing,” she says
