Saumya Mathur wins Principal’s Award of Excellence in Student Leadership Award!

The Department of Biology at University of Toronto Missisauga is proud of Saumya Mathur, Biology Specialist Major, as she won the Principal’s Award of Excellence in Student Leadership Award!

"As a recipient of the Principal's Award of Excellence in Student Leadership, I feel so fortunate to be celebrated alongside so many incredible individuals. When applying for this award, I reflected on my positionality within the University through my various identities, and the small choices that led to all the leadership experiences I've had. Being able to explore many of my passions as a UTM student, from mentorship to research, it’s gratifying to know that students' intentionality in adding to their extracurricular experiences are being recognized - especially when those growth opportunities impact other students for the better. I'm so indebted to the CSE and everyone who has supported me throughout my undergraduate journey!" wrote Saumya.
