Mourning the Loss of our Student
With deep sadness, the Department of Biology, University of Toronto Mississauga, announces the death of Biology undergrad student Philo (Philopater) El-Sunbaty, who passed away after a valiant battle with cancer on March 17, 2021.
Philo started his undergrad studies at UTM as a Life Sciences student but his interests were broad and he eventually pursued a double minor in Visual Culture and Philosophy along with his Biology major. He was a valued classmate and an important part of our program.
