Alumni Spotlight: Tara Leeming Story

Tara Leeming
Tara Leeming grew up in the Penetanguishene/Midland area and completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in 2017 at the University of Toronto.

After graduating, she backpacked independently through 5 countries for 6 weeks.

She went on to complete her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy in 2020 at the University of Toronto. Since completing her University education, she has achieved her Level 1 Manual Therapy, and is interested in pursuing pelvic health, lymphedema, and acupuncture courses. She particularly enjoys working with patients with orthopaedic and post-surgical restrictions. Athletics and an active lifestyle with camping, hiking, and cross country running, along with several personal injuries drew her to Physiotherapy, which cemented her interest when she saw how physio utilizes a holistic approach to healing beyond medication. She has experience working with children in hospital with respiratory and cardiac conditions, and burns, and adults with orthopaedic and neurological conditions.

When she is not working, she is skiing, hiking, camping, planning her next trip, or hanging out with friends.
