About the Course
This upper-level experiential course (0.50 FCE) offers students an intensive, two-week field research experience in biology, typically delivered during the summer term. Students engage in hands-on ecological and environmental research in a unique field setting where they design studies, collect and analyze data, and develop practical field skills. The course topic, location, and focus vary from year to year, providing exposure to diverse ecosystems and research approaches. Emphasis is placed on immersive learning, scientific inquiry, and the application of biological concepts in real-world contexts.
The department will send out details and host several information sessions for students throughout the academic year. Stay tuned for further details.
