Athlete Development Workshops
The Athlete Development Workshop Series is open to all UTM students, particularly to students that identify as athletes. Participants in the Athlete Development program gain hands-on skills that enhance their academic performance and personal growth as they balance being both a student and an athlete. Students who attend three or more workshops can earn CCR validation.
Mental Preparation for Optimum Performance
Athlete Development Workshop with Natascha Wesch (Mental Performance Consultant)
Our last workshop took place on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020 from 7-9 p.m. in IB 150
Mental Preparation is critical to optimum physical performance. In this workshop, athletes will learn tools and strategies to enhance mental preparation in order to get more out of training and maximize competition performance. Imagery, the super-hero of visualization will be the focus; however, other mental skills such as self-talk will also be addressed. By the end of the two-hour workshop, athletes will be able to put together a mental game plan for competition.
