Congratulations to Aditi Soin, recipient of a 2026 University of Toronto Student Leader Award! Aditi is an Anthropology HBA student, and her academic scholarship and campus leadership are firmly rooted in equity, gender justice, and community engagement. Her leadership experience extends across multiple domains, including roles as President of the Women Students’ Association, U of T Ambassador, and Director of New Recruitment for Alpha Gamma Delta. Academically, Aditi is a Dean’s List scholar whose research spans a range of critical issues including gender-based violence in India, racialized experiences of Black youth, Indigenous health inequities, colonialism in girls’ education, and the educational experiences of BIPOC women. Aditi has received numerous awards, including a Jackman Scholars-in-Residence Scholarship, Principal’s Award for Excellence, U of T Student Recognition Award of Achievement, Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for Young Volunteers, and a UTM Emerging Student Leadership Award.
