museum interiorCourse Description: Excavating, curating, and displaying archaeological human remains in museums was common from the late 19th through the 20th century. The ethics of these earlier practices have sparked a paradigm shift in approach to human remains collections, display, and research. This seminar will explore this evolution and frame current and future standards.

Prerequisite: ANT202H5 or permission of the department.
