Michael DeBonis (BA 1984)

Michael is a seasoned executive with significant North American and international experience leading complex organization challenges in multiple startups, strategic business transformations and M&A transactions.
Michael holds a B.A. from the University of Toronto, is a graduate of the Executive Program at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, the Advanced Strategic change Management program at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, as well as a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), and is a Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE). The CHRE is a designation reserved for the Human Resources profession's proven, high-impact leaders. Michael is also proud to be an Arbor Award recipient from the University of Toronto for outstanding service to the university and a Top 40 Alumni of the University of Toronto at Mississauga.
Today, Michael is the founder of breakpoint Human Capital Management which is dedicated to the unique needs of emerging mid-market companies. We know that companies that have entrepreneurial roots and experience accelerated growth will, at some point, hit a scale where the game changes. Then experienced leaders are needed to build and execute an effective Human Capital strategy to realize short-term gains and position the organization for long term value creation.
