About Me

I chose to be an alumni mentor because I want to encourage women to pursue careers in STEAM. I think it is important to have mentors that can help guide you to find your place in the world of science as well as to follow your passion. I love discussing how I came to where I am which wasn’t a linear path, as most careers aren’t. I have a job that I truly love and am passionate about so I would love to help someone else reach that same goal.

I want to share my experiences with applying to and navigating grad school, entering the workforce and being successful in traditionally male-dominated industries.

I am interested in helping women who want to pursue a career in STEAM, specifically science. I am looking for a mentee who wants to pursue a career they will be passionate about and is willing to put in whatever hard work is necessary to get there.
