About Me

I remember how difficult it was for me as a first generation student to navigate my way through the process of becoming a mental health professional. I would love to provide some guidance to a student in a similar situation.

I’d like to share my own experiences and, given my skills as a therapist, I hope I can help my mentee explore their options and reflect on what their own values are and how to use those values as a guide in both their professional and personal life.

I hope that my mentee comes into the experience with an openness to share more about themselves and their struggles as well as their successes. I believe that being honest about where we are and what we need extra support with can help us grow. They don’t necessarily need to have an exact idea of what they want to do as a career.

If there's one thing I hope my mentee gains from our relationship is to learn to be flexible. Sometimes we can have an idea of what we want but as we learn about ourselves and as we face life stressors, we should not be afraid to change our minds.
