The Women's Centre
WHAT THE WOMEN'S CENTRE IS ALL ABOUT
The Women's Centre is a welcoming space on campus for students, staff, faculty and the surrounding Erindale community.
It is a resource centre for discussion of feminist issues and activities, from cancer research, to celebrating women's successes, to marking special events.

Projects over past years have included Breast Cancer Awareness Week (more than $8,000 raised in the 1998/99 university year), International Women's Day, a December 6 Memorial, helping women's shelters through the Clothesline Project, participating in Canada's programs opposing violence against women, movie nights in the Colman Lounge, food bank appeals, clothing appeals.
Its activities may extend to addressing sexism, homophobia, religious differences, and more.
Meeting every Wednesday at noon, The Women's Centre runs as a collective. That means that everybody who wants to help has an equal voice in running the Centre.
