Claude Evans is a Senior Lecturer in French Studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga and an Associate Member at the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto.  Her degrees include a Licence-ès-Lettres from the University of Rennes (France), an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Rochester, N.Y. (USA) and a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from the University of Toronto.

  She is preparing an edition of the Charters of Bégard Abbey (c1130-1476). Bégard, located near Guingamp (Côtes-d’Armor) is the earliest Cistercian foundation in Brittany.
