Registering With The Centre
When the offer to attend UTM is accepted, please contact the Centre immediately at 905-569-4699. This will assist in starting the registration process.
- An intake meeting will be scheduled with a professional staff member who has expertise in specific areas of disabilities. Please bring documentation (from an appropriate medical professional/specialist) that identifies your disability and the accommodations you will require to the meeting. The Centre's Medical Certificate is available to print in the online forms section of this website.
- During the first two weeks of classes (or before) please ensure your course/test/examination information is received by the office. Please download the Test / Exam Registration Form and Note Taking Registration Form, complete it, and return it to the Test and Examinations Officer.
- If you require volunteer services, please contact the Centre immediately.
Students will meet with their Disability Advisor annually so that she / he can update students on new initiatives and review the student’s accommodations.
Upper Year Students not previously registered with the Centre:
Please follow the same procedures as first-year students. If you are a St. George or UTSC student, you must register with the Disability Office at your campus and have your accommodations faxed to the UTM AccessAbility Resource Centre.
