Call For Papers and Sessions

The AATI (American Association of Teachers of Italian), announces its annual International Conference on Pedagogy, Culture, Literature, Cinema, Theater, Italian as a Second Language, Italian Identities in the World, History, Media, Economy, the Arts, Opera, and all aspects pertaining to Italy and its culture in the world.

The deadline for submissions of proposals is March 1, 2010. Papers should be in Italian or in English and should last no more than 15 minutes. Colleagues are also invited to consider organizing sessions or round table discussions. Each session and round table discussion is scheduled for 60 minutes.

In order to participate in the conference, session organizers, speakers, chairs, and round table participants must be AATI members in good standing and have paid the registration fees by March 15, 2010.

How to submit a proposal or a session

Session/paper/roundtable proposals for the AATI @ Lecce Conference MUST be submitted through the AATI Online membership: http://anakin.utm.utoronto.ca/~aati_membership/

Before logging in to the AATI membership online and propose a session/paper/roundtable, please read carefully the instructions below.

1) In order to propose a session/paper you must be registered with the online AATI membership. If you have already registered, please go to step 3.

2) If you are not registered, please go to http://anakin.utm.utoronto.ca/~aati_membership/register.php

3) Once registered, login at http://anakin.utm.utoronto.ca/~aati_membership/index.php

4) Click on the button "Conferences" [menu on the left] and follow the online links and instructions. Once you propose a session/paper, please do not forget to click on the button "Publish proposal".

5) Please update your proposals regularly.

6) If you propose a single paper, please check all available sessions online and try to submit that paper to one of the sessions organizers.

7) If you propose a session, please check also if there are paper proposal online that fits your session and contact the appropriate person if you want to include that paper in your session.

8) You can always publicize your proposals through the AATI listserve: AATI-UTM-L@listserv.utoronto.ca or the AAIS listeserve
