Description of event: Incontro con lo scrittore Raffaele Nigro, autore di diversi libri di successo: A certe ore del giorno e della notte ( 1986), I fuochi del Basento (1987, Premio Supercampiello), La baronessa dell'Olivento (1990), Ombre sull’Ofanto (1992), Dio di Levante (1994), Diario mediterraneo (2000, Premio Cesare Pavese) e Viaggio a Salamanca (2002). Per Rizzoli ha pubblicato la raccolta di racconti Il piantatore di Lune (1991). Il romanzo Malvarosa è stato finalista al Campiello 2005. Il suo ultimo libro, Giustiziateli sul campo - Letteratura e banditismo da Robin Hood ai giorni nostri (Rizzoli, 2006), è un'analisi approfondita del fenomeno storico-sociale del brigantaggio.

Description of event: One of the most touristic attractive areas of Puglia and one of the most beautiful landscape all over the region, is the wonderful Valle d’Itria, the heart of the Murgia. Alberobello is one of most peculiar towns in the world, and it is an Unesco heritage site, thanks to its picturesque trulli (they are more than 1000). A suggestive walk in its old town centre takes you to the marvelluos monumental areas of Rione Monti and Aia Piccola and to the characteristic Casa d’Amore and the admirable Trullo Sovrano, of rare and undoubted beauty. Ostuni is a beautiful town in the heart of the Valle, with its beautiful Cathedral, the Town Hall and the Museum of Preclassical culture of the meridional Murgia area.
