PLEASE NOTE: All WGS courses count toward the minor and major degree requirements. You may choose a cross-listed course, but you are not limited to this list.
Students planning to complete a four-year honours (20-credit) degree in Women’s/Gender Studies are also required to complete another major or two minors. (Only students who enrolled in a three-year degree before 2003 may take WGS as their sole program of concentration). Majors and minors must take WGS200Y, majors achieving at least 65%. A 300 level WGS core course (1.0 or .5) is also necessary to complete the major or minor.
Major Program ERMAJ1443:
Entry is restricted. Students enrolling at the end of first year (4.0 FCEs) must obtain a CGPA of at least 1.80. Students applying to enroll after second year (8.0 FCEs) must obtain a CGPA of at least 2.00 and a mark of at least 65% in WGS200Y.
7.0 FCE’s are required, including at least 2.0 courses (combined core/elective) at the 300+ level. 2.0 300+ credits must be a WGS course.
Minor Program ERMIN1443: 4.0 credits are required, including 1.0 at the 300+ level, of which at least 0.5 must be a WGS course.
