Enrolment

International Women's Day

Mississauga's Edna Toth Named 'Citizen of the Year'

How do I enrol in a Women’s/Gender Studies Program?

Entry to the program occurs after the completion of 4.0 FCE credits. Entry is restricted, and students enrolling in the major at the end of first year (4.0 FCEs) must obtain a GPA of at least 1.80. Students applying to enrol after second year (8.0 FCEs) must obtain a GPA of at least 2.00 and a mark of at least 65% in WGS200Y. 7.0 FCEs are required, including at least 2.0 at the 300+level. Refer to the UTM Academic Calendar or the WGS program brochure (available in Rm.227NE ) for the crosslisted courses.

Students planning to complete a WGS major program as part of a four-year (20-credit) degree must complete the requirements of another major or two minors. This assures that students benefit from the contrasting approaches of a traditional discipline-centred major and the cross-disciplinary perspective of Women`s/Gender Studies. For the minor, 4.0 FCEs are required, inluding WGS 200 and at least 1.0 FCE at the 300 level.
