[NB: This event was first held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. To read a brief recap of the day's events, please see the article on Smarti Gras.]

The Office of the Vice Principal, Research, in collaboration with the Dean's Office, UTM Library, and UTMAGS, will be holding a summer research day showcasing undergraduate summer research around campus and across all academic disciplines through short presentations and poster exhibition.

Current undergraduate summer research students (ROP, USRA, UTEA etc.) are welcome to register for an oral presentation on their work (approx. 6 minutes) or poster presentation about the exciting research project they are doing over the summer.

This year's theme is UTM 50th anniversary celebration. 50 poster presentations will be presented. There will be BBQ (vegetarian option provided), UTM 50th Smarties, cotton candies, ice cream, and music. You bring the interesting research to present, we bring the fun to share.
