Summer Research Celebration - August 16, 2017

Welcome to Smarti Gras - UTM Summer Research Celebration!

[NB: This event was first held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. To read a brief recap of the day's events, please see the article on Smarti Gras.]

The Office of the Vice Principal, Research, in collaboration with the Dean's Office, UTM Library, and UTMAGS, will be celebrating undergraduate summer research on campus and across all academic disciplines.

Current undergraduate summer research students (ROP, USRA, UTEA, etc.) will showcase their work through oral and poster presentations about the exciting research project they have taken on over the summer.

This year's theme is UTM 50th-anniversary celebration. 50 poster presentations will be presented. There will be BBQ (vegetarian option provided), UTM 50th Smarties, a candy station, ice cream, and music.

You bring the interesting research to present, we bring the fun and festivities to celebrate you as a young researcher.
