Sit Down With: Female Faculty in STEM

Female Faculty Members in STEM
Wednesday, March 9, 2016 - 1:32pm
Carla DeMarco
In conjunction with International Women's Week activities, the Equity & Diversity Office is hosting a mentoring session at UTM for students of all genders to meet with female professors in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) disciplines.

One faculty member per table will lead a conversation over lunch with students. Topics will include what it is like to be a female faculty member in a STEM discipline and how to address challenges in the work environment that can arise, such as marginalization or discrimination (e.g. based on sex, race, religion, etc.). Bring your questions to ask mentors what you want to know!

The event details are as follows:

Tuesday, March 15th
