Thanks to a $375,000 grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Blackwood Gallery is mounting a three-part exhibit at UTM and across the GTA. Dr. Christine Shaw is the Director/Curator of the Blackwood Gallery at the University of Toronto Mississauga, where she is an Assistant Professor in Curatorial Studies and Contemporary Art, and discusses the aims and ambitions of the Blackwood Gallery.  

In this interview on VIEW to the U podcast she also speaks to the origins of the gallery and its recent exhibitions, the research she undertakes in her academic role within the Department of Visual Studies, and the role of the Blackwood at UTM and beyond.
