The Project 

Project 1: Understanding the Fentanyl Crisis

Victim Services would like you to research the “Fentanyl Crisis” and provide information that can be shared with the public including recreational drug users and their families. As well, you are to assess and report on potential client needs (victims who have overdosed and their families) and supports available to them.

The assignment is to produce a document and a presentation for Caledon Dufferin Victim Services

Project 2: Human Trafficking Tools 

Victim Services would like you to research the various models available for four tools used to identify, assess and support victims of human trafficking. Your assignment is to look for models that have been created for use in Canada and abroad (where cultural considerations and factors addressed are transferable to a Canadian context) for victims of human trafficking and similar populations (including victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human smuggling and refugees) and compile them to create the best tool possible in each of the following categories:

  • Screen for Human Trafficking

  • Risk Assessment

  • Safety Plan

  • Needs Assessment

The assignment is to produce a document and a presentation for Caledon Dufferin Victim Services
