Careers in Chemistry Day

When & Where? - Wed. Oct. 11 from 1:30-2:30pm in DV2072, then 2:30-4:30pm in DV3130 (Council Chamber)

Are you a first or second year student interested in the life, chemical, or physical sciences? Ever wonder what upper-year chemistry is all about? Interested in what your HBSc in chemistry can do for you?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Careers in Chemistry Day is for you! Through this interactive event including chemistry professors, researchers, and upper-year students, you'll have the opportunity to learn more about what the UTM's upper-year chemistry courses or a degree in chemistry can lead to.

The event will begin with a "Success in Chemistry"-themed open house from 1:30-2:30pm for students taking CHM110 or those interested in 200+ level chemistry. Connect with CHM231 students through presentations, networking, and a student panel on the key tips and secrets for doing well early on in chemistry.

The next two hours will involve a rapid-fire series of talks from our upper-year chemistry professors and the CPS career counselor from the Career Centre. This event will make information about UTM's advanced chemistry courses and chemistry careers available at your fingertips!

Speakers include: Daniela Cristini, Michael Liu, Dr. Paul Piunno, Dr. Scott Prosser, Dr. Juris Strautmanis, Dr. Thottackad Radhakrishnan
