Recognized Groups

Student groups seeking U of T and U of T Mississauga recognition (a.k.a. "campus recognition") and benefits apply on-line on the Ulife website and, once approved, are listed below. (UTMSU offers a different type of club recognition with a different set of benefits -- details are available at www.utmsu.ca.)

Groups are easy to form around almost any interest. Groups typically apply or renew their application for campus recognition once each year through the university Ulife website, and in doing so receive the benefits of recognition through the following September. Most groups apply for campus recognition and UTMSU recognition at around the same time, so that they gain the benefits that each recognition offers.

The student organizations noted below successfully completed an application for UT and UTM campus recognition through the university's Ulife website. If you are looking for a group that isn't listed:

  1. It may not exist yet; or
  2. It may be based on U of T's downtown (St. George) or Scarborough campus rather than at U of T Mississauga; or
  3. It may be a club under UTMSU that hasn't yet sought UT and UTM recognition through the university's Ulife website
