Money Matters: Financial Aid and Awards

2012 Summer Session OSAP Distribution

 

SUMMER 2012 OSAP DISTRIBUTION begins May 7, 2012 in the Office of the Registrar, Davis Building, Room 2112 during regular business hours.
 
Before coming to pick up your OSAP, please check to see if your OSAP loans documents have arrived.
 
You will need to present the following three pieces of identification:
 
1. Proof of Social Insurance Number – acceptable proof is:
  • Social Insurance Card
  • Copy of the Social Insurance Card
  • Stamped letter from HRSDC (confirmation of request for new card)
  • Notice of Assessment from Canada Revenue Agency
  • Another federal government-issued document with your name and social insurance number (CPP GST, CTB statements) 
2. University of Toronto Student ID Card (TCard)
 
3. Valid Canadian Government Photo ID (ex. driver's license, photo health card, Canadian passport, permanent resident card, Canadian citizenship card, Ontario photo card.)
 

2012 Summer Session Tuition Fees

Students who applied for 2012 Summer Session OSAP by March 31, 2012 can apply for a summer fee deferral via ROSI. The final deadline to apply for a summer fee deferral is May 2.
 

Apply Now! Upcoming Deadlines for Awards

  • Harold Ladoo Book Prize for Creative Writing
    Deadline:
    May 30, 2012
    To be awarded to a U of T Mississauga student, either full-time or part-time, in memory of Harold Sonny Ladoo who published his first novel in 1972 whilst an undergraduate student at Erindale College and whose promising writing career was tragically cut short by his early death in 1973. Competitors may submit one or more of the following: i) a long poem OR a group of short poems; ii) a short story OR a group of short stories; iii) a novel OR scheme of a novel with approximately 15,000 words of the novel itself; iv)a play.
    No previously published composition will be accepted.

The Centre provides services and academic accommodations to students who have a documented learning, physical, sensory, mental health disability or medical condition.

Summer U-Pass Pickup

UPass Pickup

 

Thanks to your student union's EPUS and UTM Students Union, all students (full-time and part-time) who are enrolled in the Summer Session at UTM will receive the Summer U-PASS!
 
The Summer U-PASS may only be used by those students who are enrolled in the summer session.
 
It is valid between May 1st, 2012 to August 31st, 2012. All students enrolled in the summer session will receive unlimited transit between the months of May to August on MiWay.
 
Location: Student Centre - Presentation Room, 3359 Mississauga Road North.
 
You must bring your T-Card to pick up the Summer U-Pass.

 

Health in the City - Saturday, May 12

Science Rendezvois

 

As part of the national "Science Rendezvous" event, U of T Mississauga will be hosting "Health in the City" on May 12 from 10AM-4PM. Visit the UTM campus to learn more about healthy-living initiatives in the Mississauga community.
 
The day's events will include campus and laboratory tours with stops in the newest buildings at UTM, the Mississauga Academy of Medicine and the Instructional Centre, along with other notable places such as the Crime Scene House and the Recreation, Athletics & Wellness Centre. There will also be science demonstrations, mini-lectures, and various outdoor activities that will enable visitors to get to know the campus inside and out.

Job & Volunteer Opportunities

AccessAbility Volunteer Opportunities

 

AccessAbility is now recruiting volunteers for the summer term! We are recruiting volunteers to fill the following positions:
 
Note-taker – attend class regularly, take complete notes, and submit notes to AccessAbility within 24 hours of each lecture
 
Support Assistant – provide support to students with visual, physical and/or mobility disabilities in the library (ex. typing, photocopying, scanning) and around the UTM campus (assist with setting up equipment in the classroom)
 
Outreach Assistant – assist with outreach events & volunteer recruitment by making in-class announcements for note-takers
