Review the Online New Student Advising website
Our Online New Student Advising website is designed to help new students through the course registration process by examining such topics as ACORN, program selection, fees and other student resources.

Enrol for courses online
Online course enrolment for first-year students begins July 7 using ACORN (www.acorn.utoronto.ca). For information on enrolling in courses, consult the Fall-Winter 2016-17 Registration Guide for NEW Students.

Activate your UTORid
Once you accept your offer of admission, you will be e-mailed instructions on how to activate your UTORid.

Let us know how to contact you!
Ensure that your e-mail, phone numbers, mailing address and emergency contact information are correct and up-to-date on ACORN (student online system) at www.acorn.utoronto.ca.

Check your e-mail regularly!
We will be sending you information regarding orientation and transition programs during the summer. Check your e-mail often to ensure that you don’t miss anything.

Get your Student ID card and UToronto e-mail account
When you get to campus, get your student ID card, also known as a TCard — it is your key to U of T Mississauga services. It is your library card and is required to write exams, to use shuttle buses, set up a U of T e-mail account and to access many other services, such as meal plans. You can get a TCard once you have accepted your offer of admission. Because it is a photo ID card, you must do this in person. Go to http://www.utm.utotonto.ca/tcard the location and hours of the TCard Office.

Attend classes right from the start
It is important that you attend your first classes to find out what is expected during the year and to learn of any last-minute changes. Classes begin September 6, 2016.
