Entrance Scholarships

  • Available to all newly admitted students directly from high school and are assessed automatically on admission (no application required).  
  • $3,000 awards are eligible for renewal for a total value of up to $12,000*.
  • Awards are based on the admitted average. Note: Where a course has been repeated, the first grade attained will be used.
  • Award is contingent on full time registration.

*UTM $3,000 Renewable Entrance Awards are based on the following additional terms and conditions:

  • The scholarship is renewed on the basis that you continuously maintain full-time registration at the University of Toronto Mississauga in the Fall/Winter sessions.
  • Students must achieve and maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.70.
  • Students need to have completed at least 4.0 credits by the end of the Fall/Winter session of each year to qualify for renewal of the scholarship. Students with a documented disability will need to complete 3.0 credits by the end of the Fall/Winter session of each year to qualify for renewal of the scholarship.
  • The award may be renewed up to three consecutive times.
  • Eligibility for renewal is assessed at the end of the Fall/Winter session and is paid in the subsequent Fall/Winter session, contingent on full-time registration.

Awarded to newly admitted UofT Mississauga students who intend to pursue a Major/Specialist in either a Commerce or Management Program and who have extensive involvement in extra-curricular and community-based volunteer activities.  Academic merit and financial need are also considered.
Preference will be given to students who are residents of Mississauga. Recipients must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Awarded to newly admitted, full-time UofT Mississauga students who have extensive involvement in community-based volunteer activities prior to entering university and who will be living in student residence at UofT Mississauga.  Academic merit is also considered.

Gera and Nirula Achievement Award

Awarded to an undergraduate student entering full-time studies in Year 1 on the basis of financial need. Academic merit will also be considered. The student must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident prior to enrolling at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

 The Award is renewable for three more years provided that the recipient remains in full-time studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga and maintains a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, and participates in on-campus or off-campus volunteer activities, which demonstrates service and giving back to the community.
