Letters of Permission
What is a "letter of permission?"
A Letter of Permission (LOP) is prior confirmation that a course you intend to take at another university is acceptable for a U of T Mississauga transfer credit.
How do I know if I am eligible for a LOP?
To be eligible to request a letter of permission, you MUST:
- be registered in a U of T Mississauga degree program;
- not be registered in courses at U of T Mississauga during the session in which you are requesting an LOP (you are only permitted to study at one institution per academic session);
- be in good academic and financial standing at U of T Mississauga;
- have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 1.50 in the session before studies at the host institution begin;
- have completed at least 4.0 credits at U of T Mississauga;
- not already have 10.0 total transfer credits or 5.0 post-admission transfer credits;
- not have already received credit for a similar course(s);
- not request to take 100-level courses if you have already completed the maximum of 6.0 100-level courses at U of T Mississauga.
NOTE: Only students enrolled in a Commerce or Management program at U of T Mississauga may earn Commerce or Management equivalencies on a Letter of Permission.

Transcripts
Transcripts can be ordered directly online through your ROSI account.
Please note: Transcripts will not be released if you have any financial holds on account. If you have a clear balance, you must provide a credit card number.
Can I remove a course from my transcript?
Once a course has been completed it can only be removed under extreme extenuating circumstances presented through a petition to the Committee on Standing. Be aware that petitions for removal of a completed course are not normally granted. If you wish to proceed, follow the instructions for petitioning and be sure to attach clear and concise documentation to support your case.
If you require assistance, please contact the Office of the Registrar, 905-828-5399.
