Kahkashan is an ISTQB certified software testing professional combined with an engineering degree in Electronics and Communication. While studying she aimed to understand the amalgamation of software processes along with gadgets to solve real world problems. This led her to join the IT industry wherein she created and deployed web sites, E-commerce concepts, systems integrations and testing in different domains.
After realizing the inter-disciplinary role of computers, gadgets and networks Kahkashan implemented projects affecting various aspects of our lives in lines of sustainability. “MeriBus” was one such project wherein working professionals could pool together to reach their destination. Commuters benefited due to reduced costs while travelling together reduced pollution, number of cars and its parking associated problems. Such diverse projects stemmed from her vision to closely align our lifestyle with environmental practices. Therefore, she was an active member of green Team in her office premises as well.
Working and interning with reputed companies like Insurance giant MetLife, Tech giant Tech Mahindra enabled her to implement best business practices across different domains of banking, travel and Insurance. Learning different methodologies like agile and scrum helped in cross functional execution of varied concepts. Her ability to drive positive change beyond the vicinity of her work space made her form an Eco Club named “High Fliers” promoting awareness about energy consumption, plantation drives as well as water harvesting during rains in New Delhi. She is also a member of ‘Each one Teach one’ initiative aimed at educating the future generation.
Working with various Multi National Corporations over a span of nearly 5 years has taught Kahkashan to interact with different clients across the globe while practicing Business Ethics. Her result oriented approach with a dynamic attitude makes her want to achieve the vision of an increasingly sustainable society in the near future.
On personal end, Kahkashan is an avid reader while she loves to explore historical places and interact with people. She likes to try local cuisine and traditional garbs on her visits to new places. Her interest supplements her dream that better understanding the geography and issues of localities will aid in implementing sustainable practices. Sustainable society could be envisaged across different landscapes and cultures.
