Bio 

Amy grew up amongst animals and nature on a farm outside of Cornwall, Ontario. With a keen interest in human behaviour Amy set out to study Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University. She quickly realized her passion for human rights, environmental preservation and wildlife protection while taking Global Studies courses.Throughout her time at Wilfrid Laurier and afterwards, Amy spent time travelling and interning with non-for profits in areas related to public health and education in India, Peru and Ghana. Amy graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2012 with a Honours Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and Psychology. Following her graduation she completed a postgraduate certificate in Behavioural Science. Amy has since worked as a behavioural therapist working with individuals with Autism and their families.

Amy has always strived to stay connected to local and international community initiatives, some of which include: Big Brothers and Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, Ontario Early Years Child Development programs and in recent years Amnesty International Toronto. In her time volunteering in various organizations she began to understand the importance of effective management, coordination and transparency. Her academic interests include: corporate accountability, accessible quality education, wildlife preservation and indigenous rights. 

Outside of being a passionate advocate, Amy enjoys spending time camping, hiking, cooking, travelling, gardening, exploring, being creative and hanging out with animals and people
