Students of the Week 4

Christine IrickChristine Irick

Since graduating in 2015 from the Biochemical Engineering program at Queen’s University, Christine has worked as an engineer-in-training at a fast-paced biotech startup in Montreal. She has a keen interest in business and joins the MMI hoping to round out her technical skills with sound business acumen. 

Christine was pleased to be selected by the Dean of Engineering to represent Queen’s at the 2015 Catalyst Canada Honours conference recognizing the advancement of women in business.

Robin (Wenbo) GaoRobin Gao


Robin joins MMI after graduating from the University of Toronto Scarborough. While completing his B.Sc in Bio Chemistry, Robin was active in student life and participated in several case competitions which peaked his interests in finance, investments and equity research. 

After completing MMI, Robin hopes to secure a position that will combine his background and interests.  His goal is to work in market research for a healthcare or biotechnology fund.   

Gemma MancusoGemma Mancuso

Gemma is a graduate of the Biomedical Science program at Ryerson University.  She has extensive research experience and a broad range of interests ranging from technology to healthcare and sustainability. 

Gemma and her team from Ryerson were the winners of the Student Spaceflight Experiment Program research challenge and created and designed an experiment that was sent to the International Space Station.
