The competition which involved 16 teams from the Rotman School of Business along with our MBiotech entry, was a 2-day event where teams had to look at an entrepreneurial investment opportunity from the perspective of a Venture Capital firm. They had to make the case to invest or not and structure a term sheet based on their analysis. Judges, who were Toronto based VC, commended the MBiotech team's understanding of the softer issues around the investment decision making process - noting that the financial analysis portion was carried out equally well by all teams.

The team now advances to the next round at the end of February in Boston. There they will be competing against MBA teams from several of the world's top business schools such as Harvard and Wharton.
