Innovation Complex groundbreaking showcases new approach to business education

Innovation ComplexOn May 23, 2013, dignitaries celebrated the groundbreaking of U of T Mississauga’s Innovation Complex, a facility that will help train the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.

The Innovation Complex, expected to open in September 2014, will be the future home of the Master of Biotechnology Program, as part of the Institute for Management and Innovation (IMI), a new model for business education combining management studies with key industry sectors. 

“Graduates will be leaders with keen business acumen, scientific depth and an ability to translate creative ideas into viable commercial initiatives,” says Professor Deep Saini, vice-president of the University of Toronto and principal of U of T Mississauga. “They will have the tools to make immediate contributions to the new economy."
