Leading in VUCA: Principles for Emerging Leaders

Abstract: Many new graduates will be walking into industries and organizations that are in the throes of VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity). The leading expertise and perspective from the MBiotech and other programs will be a brilliant foundation. At the same time VUCA requires new attitudes and new skills, many of which are non-traditional and some of which are downright counter-intuitive. Eva will share a set of principles for thriving in the new VUCA-based healthcare environment that she has observed among the strongest and most inspiring leaders.

About the speaker: Eva McLellan works in Oncology Pipeline Product Strategy at Roche global headquarters in Switzerland. Her Biotechnology industry experience spans field sales, medical affairs and strategic marketing in local, regional, and global roles. Eva loves to integrate – people, perspectives, and best practices – and to help teams navigate complex and evolving environments. She holds an Honors Bachelor of Science degree with double major in Human Biology and Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, both from the University of Toronto.

All welcome! Light refreshments served at 6:00pm.

This seminar is part of the Biopartnering Seminar Series, offered by the Master of Biotechnology Program.
