“Converging Worlds: A New Era in Computing”

We are starting to see a fundamental transformation in how we interact with computers and what we can expect from them. Powered by insights from big data, more natural user interfaces, and a merging of the physical and digital worlds, this new era of computing will enable exciting new capabilities. Craig Mundie will discuss how we can harness these new technologies to take on some of the world’s most complex challenges..

This lecture is open to the public. Space is limited and there is no registration; coming early is strongly recommended.

Computer Science Education Week

On December 10th, motivated grade 9 Math students are invited to come with their teachers to the University of Toronto Mississauga campus to explore the exciting field of Computer Science. This event is being organized as part of the national Computer Science Education Week celebrations. The day will include a large group session where university faculty will demonstrate some of the connections between the fields of mathematics and computer science. Students will also attend small-group workshops where they can explore CS topics of their choice.



Math Circles

Math Circles is a FREE weekly enrichment program offered by the MCS Department at the University of Toronto Missisauaga.

Are you a student in grade 10 to 12, who is interested in Mathematics and are looking to challenge yourself? Then this is the program for you! Participants will also enjoy guest speakers from our Faculty.
