Computer Accounts

All UTM students, staff and faculty are given a utorID computer account for access to any of the general campus computers. Your utorID is printed on your student card immediately above the barcode on the left side.

The utorID account management page is listed below. Here, you will be able to activate your account, change/reset your password, and adjust other account options (including SPAM filtering, email forwarding, and personal webspace).

Lecturers often communicate with students using the registered email account on ROSI. Please make sure your utorID account and email address is properly set up because lecturers will communicate with you using email.

» Activation & First-time Users

If you are a new student or are using your utorID account for the first time, you will need to activate it here:

  Once at the site, please click to

activate your utorID.

» Forgotten Passwords

If you have forgotten your password, you are able to reset your password by following these steps:

Part I:

  1. Log on to ROSI.
  2. Select Maintain your PIN
  3. Click to Set your account up for reactivation of PIN
  4. Set up your 3 security/secret questions.
  5. Log out of ROSI.

Part II:

  1. Visit the utorID site to Reset your forgotten password.
  2. Enter your utorID to retrieve your secret questions.
  3. Answer your secret questions.
  4. Enter a new password (and remember it!)*.

* Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for your new password to become active.
