In his new book, Louis Kaplan turns his lens on the sometimes ticklish world of humorous photography. The professor of visual studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga recently launched Photography and Humour, which explores some of the important ways photographers have found humour in the world, and how viewers have found amusement in photographs.

On March 28, 206 young and brilliant minds took over the Innovation Complex Rotunda as ICUBE collaborated with I3 – Investigate! Invent! Innovate! supporting the next wave of inventors and entrepreneurs in the GTA. For the second consecutive year, UTM hosted the Invention Convention GTA showcasing students in grades 7 and 8 solving everyday issues by applying their science, math and technology skills to invent an innovative product.

New eduroam service turns Mississauga into a “virtual campus”

The City of Mississauga, in partnership with the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College, is the first Canadian city to make the eduroam service available to its student population.

Set to launch on May 1, 2017, the eduroam “virtual campus” is a secure, worldwide roaming service that enables post-secondary students to connect to school resources anywhere in the world from Mississauga city facilities where Wi-Fi access is available.
