U of T Mississauga student among Top 20 Under 20
When Ben Kim arrived in Canada from Korea in 2001, he barely spoke any English, but he didn't let that stop him. The young musician let his cello do the talking for him until he learned the language.
Today, that love of music has earned him the honour of being one of Youth in Motion's Top 20 Under 20, an award celebrating youth who have demonstrated a significant level innovation, leadership and achievement.
Kim and his 19 fellow awardees were recognized June 2 at an awards breakfast in Toronto and they are spending a week together at a leadership summit where they'll have the opportunity to meet with leaders from successful corporations and not-for-profits.
