Overview

The UTM Abroad GIP is a comprehensive program that is a semester long committment. Students interested in completing the program must participate in all components. Successful completion will result in three entries on the Co-Curricular Record!

Workshop Timeline

All students accepted into the GIP will complete a workshop series to prepare for travel. The series is meant to give students time to get to know the group who they will be travelling with, understand the theories behind volunteering and critical service learning, begin to explore topics surrounding culture and the regions we will be visiting, and complete UofT required Safety Abroad training. Attendance is required during ALL workshops.

*After travel is completed, students will submit a final reflection project by Friday, May 24, 2019.

Alternative Reading Week

All students accepted into the GIP Program will participate in Alternative Reading Week (ARW) Students should expect to spend about 20 hours engaging in their project. The ARW placement will take place on February 19, 20, and 21, 2018.
