Sociology Opportunities

Out of the 120+ institutions U of T is partnered with, the Department of Sociology has identified these ten (10) partners as the most meaningful and valuable to students in Sociology programs.  Partners were selected due to their world rankings, research collaborations, unique program offerings, and distinct geographical areas.  

Australian National University

Australian National University (ANU) is located in Canberra, the capital of Australia. It is ranked first in Australia and in the top 25 universities globally. The Australian National University has produced six Nobel Laureates.

  • ANU is the only university set up by the Federal Government of Australia. The university was created to be a research institution for subjects of national importance

It houses three out of five of Singapore’s Research Centres of Excellence with focuses on quantum technologies, cancer, and mechanobiology.
