Work and International Students Workshop Series

Are you looking for job opportunities on or off campus?

One of the main barriers to finding employment for international students is having Canadian work experience. To help you through this process, the International Education Centre and the Career Centre have partnered up to offer a series of workshops throughout the year to provide you with tools to guide you through the process. You can participate in as many workshops as you like and can sign up for them individually. Here is what we have in store for you:

  • Getting Experience (Job search) - Tuesday, Sept 19 from 10 to 11am in the Faculty Club (3rd floor of the Davis Building). 
    • Regiter through CLN.
  • Student Success Stories - Wednesday, Oct 25 from 12 to 1 pm in DV3130 (Council Chambers)
  • Resume Building - Wednesday, Nov 8 from 10 to 11 am in the Faculty Club (3rd floor of the Davis Building)
    • Register through CLN - registration will open on October 15.
  • Effective Interviews - Tuesday, Jan 16 from 3 to 4pm in the Faculty Club (3rd floor of the Davis Building) 
    • Register through CLN - registration will open on November 15.
  • Canadian Workplace Expectations - Thursday, Feb 22 from 3 to 4pm in the Faculty Club (3rd floor of the Davis Building)
    • Register through CLN - registration will open on January 15.
  • Work Permits and Beyond – Tuesday, March 13 from 1 to 2 pm in DV3130 (Council Chambers)
    • Registration will open on February 15.
