Research
We are extending the usefulness of transition metal systems for organic transformations and are, at the same time, investigating fundamental properties of transition metal complexes. One example is the activation of unreactive C-H bonds in hydrocarbons and their conversion into useful functionalities. Another field of study is the the reactivity of sulfur-containing metal centers with unsaturated molecules, a field of great promise for industrial olefin chemistry and also the development of Lewis-acids to catalyze organic transformations.
