Conveniently located at Toronto's western border, Mississauga is a modern, well-planned, growing urban city with vibrant business, sports and arts communities and only minutes away from Lester B. Pearson International Airport.

The U of T Mississauga campus is situated in a park-like setting on the Credit River and is bounded by safe residential neighbourhoods. It is well-served by local public transit and is conveniently located near major highways for quick access. Toronto, Mississauga's next-door neighbour and Canada's world-renowned cultural capital, is about a 33 km/20 miles away -- about a half-hour commute.

What to see and do in Mississauga

  • Home to Square One, Ontario’s largest shopping mall. Residents can also shop at three other major malls: Erin Mills Town Centre, Heartland Town Centre and Dixie Outlet Mall; boutiques in Port Credit Village and Clarkson Village; the Farmer’s Market; and at the Mississauga Chinese Centre.
  • There are a number of visual and performing arts venues: The Living Arts Centre, Art Gallery of Mississsauga, Hershey Centre and Stage West Theatre.
  • Dozens of entertainment hubs around the city with restaurants, movie theatres and gaming facilities (bowling, indoor golf, video games, etc.).
  • Numerous sports clubs and organizations are available around the city, like badminton, soccer, hockey, skating, basketball, volleyball and tennis.
  • There are dozens of nightclubs, bars, restaurants and bistros across the city, especially in the City Centre area - about a 10-minute drive from campus.

  • Has the third largest municipal transit system in Ontario. Residents can take advantage 81 routes throughout the city that connect with the Toronto Transit Commission, Brampton Transit, Oakville Transit and all GO Transit stations.
