Draft copies of the Monthly Inspection Teams and an updated Committee Membership list were distributed to the Committee for discussion. Change to the Monthly Inspection Teams is still needed.

d) Injured or Ill Employees - Transportation to Hospital or Home

The committee had a discussion on whether policy exists on this topic. The matter had been referred to the Committee by UTM Human Resources. It was agreed that most Collective Agreements and the Act requires that the employee's supervisor assist in getting aid for employees injured at work. What is not clear is the role of the supervisor when an employee requests to go home or to a hospital (or clinic) due to an illness that is not work related or life threatening.

The Committee agreed that they could not make policy on this issue and that direction should be sought from the EH&S office.

e) EMF Testing in the Kaneff Building, Room # 228

Paull Goldsmith has agreed to have Khalique Mohiuddin (Engineer) present during this testing.

f) Internet EH&S Data Management

A session was held at the St George campus on April 13th, 2009 on data management software that will be used by EH&S. The software will track inventory and also contain MSDS information.
