Holiday closures

Green wreath with red ribbonsPlease note that the University of Toronto Mississauga will be closed for the holidays on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 to Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 (inclusive). The university will reopen and resume regular hours of operation on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.

U of T Mississauga Campus Police

Campus Police Services is located in Rm. #3116 of the William G. Davis Building.

The U of T Mississauga Campus Police will be on duty 24 hours a day during the closing.  They can be reached at 905-828-5200 for general help or at 905-569-4333 in emergency situations.

Access to the William G. Davis Building will be on a sign-in basis with the Campus Police.  All doors to the William G. Davis Building will be locked, except for during RAWC open hours when this entrance will be open for RAWC members only.  Campus Police will open the door and record your name and which room(s) you will be visiting.  All other buildings will be locked during the closing and persons requiring access must make arrangements with their departments for appropriate keys.

Parking and Transportation

The Parking Office will be closed for the holidays as of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 and will resume regular hours at 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.

The CCT Garage will close at 11.59 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016.  Vehicles in the CCT Garage after this time will have exiting privileges only.  CCT Garage permits will be valid in Lots P4, P5, P8 and P9 during this closure and the CCT Garage will reopen at 6 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.  For additional parking information, please visit www.utm.utoronto.ca/parking

Shuttle bus service and ticket sales will not be available during this closure.  (The IB ticket machine will remain accessible over the holidays).  Shuttle bus service will resume its regular operating schedule on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017. Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre

The HMALC will be closing on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at 5 p.m. and reopening on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at 8 a.m. (resuming regular hours).  For detailed information on the Library’s hours, go to http://library.utm.utoronto.ca/hours

Remote access to electronic resources, including the U of T Library Catalogue, will be available throughout this period.  Regarding other U of T Libraries, please contact the individual libraries or consult the Library website at http://resource.library.utoronto.ca/hours/

Recreation, Athletics &Wellness Centre

The RAWC will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016. It will be open from Tuesday, Dec. 27 to Friday, Dec. 30 (inclusive) between the hours 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The facility will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 31 and Sunday, Jan. 1. Residence

UTM Student Housing & Residence Life provides restricted access to students who contracted with the department to stay on campus during the holiday closure.  These students have been provided with guidelines and contact information to report maintenance and safety concerns. Residence buildings reopen for the general residence population at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017.

Information & Instructional Technology Services (I&ITS)

I&ITS will be closed for the holidays. Service Desk e-mail and voice-mail will not be monitored during this period.  Critical services such as UTM website and internet connection to UT St. George will be maintained.  All others will be attended to on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.

I&ITS recommends that everyone unplug their computers, printers, and any other electronic devices during the holidays.  This will help to save energy and will prevent damage in the event of a power surge or cut.

Classroom Technology

This office will be closed for the holidays. If you require Classroom Technology, Video-Conferencing or Web-Casting assistance during this period, special arrangements must be made by this Friday, Dec. 9, 2016.
